To develop a support solution for tail boom removal, enabling inspections to be conducted efficiently across various aircraft maintenance configurations.

Project Description

In collaboration with the client, McCabe Engineering designed and manufactured a custom tail boom support fixture. This fixture allows for safe and flexible helicopter inspections, whether the aircraft is positioned on the ground or elevated on jacks.

Outcome

The fixture is fully functional in both configurations, streamlining the inspection process and eliminating the need for manual handling of the tail boom.
